Texting from your Mac
Send Android texts from your Mac
How to text from a Mac with an Android phone: install Syncsaurs and your SMS & MMS show up in a Mac window — read, reply and start conversations with your Mac keyboard, iMessage-style, while your phone stays in your pocket. Messages travel directly between your Mac and phone, never through our servers.
Why your Mac couldn't do this
With an iPhone, texts appear in the Mac Messages app automatically. Android sits outside Apple's ecosystem, so macOS simply ignores it. Windows users get Microsoft's Phone Link — but there's no Mac version. That left Android + Mac users picking up their phone for every single text.
Syncsaurs is a macOS-native app built to fill exactly that gap. Your phone's inbox lives in a Mac window: conversations, MMS photos, and a compose box that works like any Mac app.
Verification codes, straight to your clipboard
When a one-time code arrives, Syncsaurs detects it and puts it on your Mac clipboard automatically. No reaching for the phone — just ⌘V and you're logged in.

Frequently asked questions
Is there an iMessage for Android?
iMessage is Apple-only, so it can't run on Android. But the core experience — reading and answering texts from your Mac — is exactly what Syncsaurs gives you with an Android phone. Texts still go out through your phone, from your own number.
Does MMS (picture messaging) work?
Yes. View and save received photos on your Mac, and attach images when you send.
What about RCS chats?
Depending on your carrier and messaging app, RCS conversations may not appear in the standard SMS inbox. When that happens, use Syncsaurs screen mirroring to open your phone's messaging app right on your Mac.
Do my messages pass through a server?
No. Messages travel directly between your Mac and your phone on your network. They are never stored on or routed through Syncsaurs servers.
Is it free?
Connecting and screen mirroring (standard resolution) are free. The messages integration and other Pro features unlock with a subscription. Start free — no credit card required.
Does it work on non-Samsung phones?
Yes. Any phone running Android 11 or later works, with extra optimization for Galaxy devices.
